After racing in New Plymouth, New Zealand, I also had a New Surprise!! haha
In the airport, while doing the check-in they have told me that my visa was not good to make the conexion in Sydney, so I couldn't travel back to LAX...
My visa was good for 42 days, but only good for one entry...
And besides being in the Kangooroo land, I couldn't hop in the Kiwi land and hop back!!
Kiwi is a NZ popular bird, it can only be found here and it's peculiarity is to not having wings. Not being able to fly suuucks!! :S
Good for American Airlines, as to delay my flight they have bitten me 230% on the price of that leg...
Moving on, I have already gone to the Australian Consulate to get the transit visa, and should be flying tomorrow morning. While I am here I have found everything I needed: A Backpacker hostel, a good coffee shop and a swimming pool!
SWIM!! That's what really matters since New Plymouth World Cup...
#1500sub17'30"!! 3 days after the race, and I have already counted 720 laps or 18km!! #owwwyeahhhbaby!!!

60th place at New Plymouth Triathlon ITU World Cup
My race was poor...
But the result was good, as it brings change, building new paths and new goals!
I felt a lot better than the Australian race, but my swim was just not "competible", and from now on this is the main focus... Swim, swim and swim!
The goal is 1500m under 17'30".
Here is a quicky race report from New Plymouth!

Enjoying Mooloolaba, Australia!
I felt very lucky to be hosted by two new great friends William and James, while I was racing the Mooloolaba ITU World Cup. Australia itself is fantastic and a perfect place for triathletes! I did most of my swim and run workouts at Kawana Island (gorgeus site) and also rode my bike around the Sunshine Coast, passing by amazing beaches landscapes and also pretty comic names like Sugar Bag Rd, and Dicky Beach! Lol
But only from land and water would not be enough to know that portion of Queensland...
"Captain" James gave me a ride to see it from a different point of view!
What a fantastic tour with great panoramic views and I could even drive the aircraft for a little while! We took off from Caboolture airport and headed to the Glasshouse Mountains, following to the coast.
Impresive scenery from above and down Bribie Island we could spot two old World War II bunkers used to spot Japanese submarines and ships.
Then we headed to Caloundra, Kings Beach and all the way up to Point Cartwright near Mooloolaba, where I raced just the day before.
Fantastic!! Here is a collection of the sights,it also includes my brilliant idea (already patented) for an airplane bike rack...
On the way back we stop over Australia Zoo.
It was just a quick stop, but enough time to make a couple giraffe friends!! Lol
Already in New Plymouth, NZ. From where I will be posting soon, and Racing the World Cup triathlon race on this Sunday.

60th place at Mooloolaba World Cup Triathlon
I was feeling good, ready for it, but on the details to excel I missed nutrition...
Bad races are always something to expect on a big season and I hope the next one will not come soon! haha
The race happened at 3pm and I thought having lunch three hours before, would be enough time to digest. Basic spaghetti in pesto tomato sauce, that I could still taste minutes before the race... :-S
I swam reasonably, sufficient to be in the huge first pack out of the water, but on the bike I felt really bad and at one of the course climbs I got dropped off.
I knew it would not be my best race, but finishing strong was also one of the goals, so I kept going as hard as I could and started running with determintion to do a great split. My stamina didn`t last as well as I'd hoped, because by the half way point my stomach got really tight and cramped really bad, so I had to slow down and be content on just finishing another tri...
The race itself was fantastic! What a great job from USM Events and all sponsors involved, including Asics who offered a nice visor that I am giving away for the first comment on this post here or in the blog`s Brazilian version!
Now its time to enjoy the amazing scenes of Australia with new friends William and James, who gave me great support for the race, including the picture here posted!
And also a cool video with my thoughts after race:
More to come on next weekend!
Now the focus is at New Plymouth, NZ, where the next ITU World Cup is going to be placed!

Poor Judgement!!
I`ve just found the best way to describe how I felt when I rocked the Argentinan ITU Panamerican Cup!
I didn`t rock so bad like the cowboy on this video, but that's a great figure of when you know you nailed it, and you are not so worried of what they are going to say, specially if they are sports marshalls! You are confident!!
For those whom have not read my post about the race, although I placed 2nd, I was DSQ by the officials. The reason of that was because I placed my bike on t2 with only one side of the handlebars instead of both sides. So they gave me a stop-and-go penalty, but only after I have run more than half of the course, which would not be a valid penalty. But only knew that afterwards, and for not paying this penalty I got DSQ. Click here to read the whole story!
I tried to appeal, and the ITU officials have told me they have opened an information process, but I never really heard back from them. I am not really worried, but still hoping to hear something about it.

I appreciate all the messages, specially from the Argentinians, giving me credits for the accomplishment! Thank you, I will be back to La Paz in 2015!
