Hello From Boulder!

Starting video-post in my blog!
Today I am just telling about the new training days coming up here in Bouder, Colorado.

While in Brazil you need to lock you car even if it is in you own garage, I love the security we have in US. Just illustrating with a picture of my car with open windows, while I was buying groceries . . .
LOL (mine is the coolest, the blue one!)

Fun Post Race Diving and Exploring Huatulco!

Finished the race, on the day after, Eduardo Lass and I woke up early in the morning and swam around 1000m, from Santa Cruz Bay to La Entrega Beach, where we had some fun diving and exploring the area!

Here is some images of our tour, and my favorite pic on the cover (A selfiesh!!) Lol

Huatulco World Cup

One of the hardest races of my life!
On my fourth attempt, for the first time I couldn't finish the Huatulco World Cup.

I had a good swim on the first lap, but then I started to fatigue.
I didn't had enough strength to ride with the second group and endend up by myself, passing and being passed by a few other athletes.
The heat and humidity was really intense and on every climb from eight, someone would get dropped from the big pack.

I pushed really hard, as I knew that the big pack would be slowly falling apart, as it happened. But I couldn't gain any positions.

On the last two laps I felt like riding with compatriots, an American (where I live) and an Argentinian (where my girl lives!). We were pushing as fast as we could and when completing the last bike lap, we were "invited" to pull over, as the first runner had reached the point where no more cyclists could be on the course. (26 of 56 competitors dnf)

I was feeling weak and missed training performance, the only good thing about a bad race is that it motivates me to train more and more to get better for the next one!

Now on I will take a few days off, to start a neat training block in the altitude of Boulder, CO!

Arriba muchachos!!

22nd at the Panamerican Championship

The race was hosted at Las Colinas, in Dallas. But besides the name it was in a totally flat course. (merely illustrative image!)
It would not be necessary other obstacles as it was already tough with the other 75 opponents plus the combination: humidity X temperature...
The swim was in this lake, which is a lot more like a huge swimming pool! I left the water on the second pack, not as I wanted, but pretty good if compared with my past races.

The rhythm on the bike portion was really intense and it was also very windy. Just starting to feel the heat, we averaged 41kph.

Running, basically I did a fartlek, not that I planned to, but I was varying the speed a lot between ups and downs, like it would be a race in "Las Colinas"! Lol
Eduardo Lass and I right after the finish line!!

Happy with the result and points gained on the Olympic Trials #Rio2016!!
I am now at LA again, getting ready for the next one in less than two weeks, when heading to the Huatulco World Cup, Mexico!
